AWE Legacy Programme

Home

At Activity Wales Events, we are passionate about creating opportunities for the next generation to get active, enjoy sport and discover what they are capable of.

Every year, thousands of people take on our events, pushing their limits and achieving things they once thought impossible. We know how powerful that feeling is, and we believe every young person deserves the chance to experience it.

Through the AWE Legacy Programme, we want our events’ impact to go far beyond the finish line. Funds raised will be reinvested in children’s sport and local community projects across Wales.

Where the money goes

The programme will support grassroots clubs, schools and community groups in the areas that host our events, helping to:

remove barriers to taking part, such as the cost of kit, equipment and coaching
give young people their first taste of sport in a fun, welcoming environment
strengthen local clubs and volunteers who keep communities active all year round
benefit community projects and local charities in the areas around our events.

Our events are only possible because of the communities who welcome us. The Legacy Programme is our way of giving something back to the communities that make every event so special.
