Activity Wales Events inaugural 186-mile coastal ultramarathon is taking place across the 9th to 16th of September in aid of The DPJ Foundation. The foundation work to support the mental health of individuals within the agricultural sector and rural communities.

The Pembs 186 is a resilience-demanding course and will be a real test of endurance. Athletes will cover 30-40 miles daily through 35,000ft of ascent and descent, along Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. A grueling but epic experience.

Launching from Cardigan in North Pembrokeshire, through to Amroth in the South. The event will provide a great opportunity for athletes in ultra-running communities both within the locality and from afar.  It is a fully supported race, and the cost of entry will cover pre-pitched accommodation, breakfast and evening meals, hot water, kit transfer to each camp, charging stations at camp, medical assistance throughout and a post-event party and awards ceremony.

Matthew Evans, CEO stated: “Multi stage endurance racing is the next step for many athletes and where better than right here on our doorstep and to raise funds for such a crucial and again local charity. The event is certainly not a mass event, quite the opposite.  It will allow people to run, walk and at times crawl this spectacular coastline, make lifelong friends and raise funds for an incredible charity.”

AWE are offering a payment instalment scheme and fully comprehensive cancellation insurance.
