Swansea 5k Race Profile

Swansea 5k Race Profile

Info on the route: The Swansea 5k is the final discipline which will complete and close the jam-packed weekend of events for the UWTSD Swansea Triathlon. The 5k provides a fast and flat run course, with pleasant views of Swansea Bay, Wales’ waterfront city beach.

Why should I take part?

The Swansea 5k is an excellent event for families and friends to partake in, the discipline is open to participants aged 11+ and is a fantastic first timer’s event. Athletes are welcomed to run down the finish line with their loved ones before taking home a medal to celebrate their victory. There is an abundance of support from crowds and is an all-round fun experience for all ages involved.

First Timers:

  • Get your kit organised prior to the 5k.
  • Fuel your body before but don’t overload. Bananas are a great pre-race snack.
  • Get to know the event rules in plenty of time. These are to ensure the safety and fairness of all athletes.
  • Take full advantage of resources – read up before the event and attend any first timer or pre-race briefings that have organised.
