Geraint Forster


Geraint is a Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, and Programme Manager for the BSc Sport and Exercise Science degree. Geraint is also an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, an Open-Water Swim coach, and holds a range of outdoor leadership and coaching qualifications.

Having started out as a rugby player, track athlete and GB International Surf-lifesaver, Geraint has transitioned to endurance-based sports having completed numerous triathlons including Ironman Wales, multiple trail and road marathons, and a number of cycle sportives such as the Marmotte. Geraint’s main interest is in understanding how to maximise performance through a scientific application of training methods and nutritional practices. Geraint is currently studying for a second masters degree in Sport and Exercise Nutrition.
