The Wales Triathlon took place on the 29th of July, now you’ve all had a chance to rest your achy limbs, lets recap.

Over the weekend Fishguard opened its arms to the Wales Triathlon athletes, cheering them on and offering some exclusive discounts in great restaurants and complimentary desserts and drinks to celebrate what they were about to achieve!
Mother nature was on our side, pouring down all the rain she had on Friday and giving us a great Saturday equaling perfect conditions for a triathlon.

The Wales Tri saw around 400 athletes take on either the sprint or middle distance course around Fishguard and St David’s through picturesque locations, and out onto the breakwater to unrivaled views. The middle distance course includes a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile cycle and 13.1 mile run. The sprint distance course includes a 750m swim, 13 mile cycle and 3 mile run.

The Wales Triathlon is a tough course to tackle, a very hilly run challenged many athletes -but the greater the challenge the greater the reward when running up onto the stage to celebrate your finish!!
